So what do you write about when nothing is rattling your cage and life is good? I guess you write about life being good and how you’ve let go of all the shitty-ness that came before that.
I think there are people out there wondering, “where is Lauren and what have you done with her?” (I had lunch with a friend the other day who kept looking at me strangely and I don’t think it was because the rain had totally destroyed any hope of decent hair and I looked (according to Miss16) like a crack addict).
The evolution (or revolution as you will) started with the introduction of Koda (and I see some of you rolling your eyes but I’ve totally limited postings on Facebook about him because we roll on instagram @koda_the_retriever – if you can find it in your heart to follow us that would be great because we are about 11 shy of 900 followers!). But that’s really where it started. Afternoons in the fresh air near the beach (and sometimes in the pouring rain), time to breathe and to put that mobile phone down and think.
Unexpectedly with the said dog came a new group of friends who recognised my unhappiness and encouraged me to make the changes I did and realigned my perspective on a very deep level that I can’t adequately explain because you will think that I’ve been abducted by aliens or joined a cult.
But I haven’t. It’s just good to be in this place. With no negative energy. With happy, positive people. With time to breathe. (Talk to me about Maintenance Mondays and the occasional Faff-Around Friday).
I hope all this good stuff isn’t driving you totally crazy. Because I still get snarky. Like when The Artist puts his socks in the wash all scrunched up. Or when all of the people leave their coffee/tea cups in the sink. Or when I have to do admin – oh dear God – why is there admin? Or when Koda refuses to let me smother him with my love and affection (ungrateful little bastard!). Or when the wifi isn’t working quickly enough! First world problems each and every one of them.
So all, be careful out there – stay with the good people and leave the bad one’s to play with each other.
Love and light
